Friday Flair: You Might Be a Redneck If...

Ok, here it is:
I sometimes use 3 large velcro rollers for the top of my hair to give it some lift. Now, they stay in my hair various amounts of time, but if I'm not going anywhere, they work best if I can leave them in for about 2 hours while my hair dries on it's own.

I know.

How many times have I just plain forgotten they were in there? No, I'm not talking about people who come to the door... I mean, you get what you get if you ring my doorbell unannounced.

It's when I forget they're there and go to the grocery store that it gets redneck.
.
.
.

My dad would be SO embarrassed.

I'm just so glad to see Friday Flair--EVEN IF IT'S THURSDAY.

as a junior in hs, these were getting quite popular.

my girlfriend's parents owned a series of contiguously placed plots of land ideal for the placing of modular housing units. (aka trailer park)

therefore, my favorite you might be a redneck was "if directions to your house contain the phrase 'turn off the paved road'"

i said it every time i went to her house (practically every night), and for some reason, it seemed to annoy her :-)

in other news, i took a picture once while driving through my SIL neighborhood. i don't have time to find it now, but remind me sometime to post the picture of the "double wide"

I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's Friday - hee hee!

Well if nothing else at least those rollers are comfy unlike the spiky ones my mother tortured me with as a child!

Those are too funny!! I used to love reading Jeff Foxworthy's "You Might Be a Redneck if..."
And just to make you feel better about your curlers... the other day we decided to go out to dinner. I got all dressed up, hair done and headed out the door. Got to the restaurant only to realize that I hadn't put a bra on...

I bet you make anyone's day who sees you. Seriously that is quite awesome.

Back when I was in community college and doing theater, I'd sometimes have to go to my PM classes in big pink sponge curlers because my call would be right after class let out, you're not alone. :)
