Left Brain Logic? or Right Brain Imagination?

Have you seen this dancer, yet? Someone showed it to me the other day, and I CAN'T STOP watching her spin.

The first time I saw her she was spinning clockwise. Absolutely clockwise. When Mimi came in the room, I asked her which way the dancer was spinning and she agreed clockwise, but when I looked at her again, now she was counterclockwise!

I made every unsuspecting soul that came to my house this weekend come to my office to look at the dancer. I'm mesmerized.

Now, after hours of practice ( I wish I were kidding here), I can change her back and forth at will.

Ack! That is too cool! I looked at her and thought of course it's clockwise, how could it be turning another way? I couldn't figure that part out. I looked away and looked back after a few seconds and she was turning the other way. Now she's back to clockwise again and I can't get her to go the other direction. Thanks a lot!!

I'm turning and walking away, because the last time you posted a game I went back like 30 times to try and better my score. I got pretty good at that game while my laundry piled up, but NO! I am WALKING AWAY....

Oh, you too will be assimilated. It's only a matter of time.

Ooo Ooo! I got her to turn the other way again, lol. Now I know I didn't just imagine it. No more dancing lady today for me!

That is the freakiest thing. She is clockwise. How on earth can you change the direction at will? You can switch your brain function from side to side? You are my hero.

The way I get her to go counterclockwise is to watch the shadow of the pointy foot. See if you can do it.

Ooh, good tip. Now I can do it. That is wild.

I have been watching her for a very long time - linked through your blog - and, now, I too am obsessed. I had to watch until I could change her at will. It makes me feel powerful. I am going back to watch again. I've got to see if I still have the power.

Weird....

I just showed this link to my husband and I had to actually turn off the computer to get him to walk away. He simply could NOT get it to turn counter clockwise. I suspect that tonight at midnight, I will find him at the computer trying to get it to change directions.

Okay... so when I look right at it she moves clockwise... but, if I use my peripheral vision, she's moving counter... I can't make her change at will... yet....

I've made her go back and forth. I notice that when she's turning counter-clockwise she's spinning on her right leg; clockwise it's her left. Which makes me wonder if she just automatically switches....

I wish I had her bum.

Kristin- I thought the computer was switching it at first, but at one point I had 3 people in the room watching it, and we all kept seeing it switch at the different times.

OK, back to the laundry.

I think the trick here is to look at the still photo you provided Randy. . . you can see how simultaneously she could be facing forward or backward. She could be standing on her left leg or her right. . . this trick wouldn't be possible if she weren't just a black outline. Still very weird.

I thought she was going clockwise..haven't had enough time in between homework to change her direction.

I saw this over at Kristy's blog a few days ago and have been hypnotized by it ever since. It goes back and forth for me. I still think it's a trick. It has to be.

Hahaha, Kimberly's comment made me crack up because I have to say I wish I had her perky uperside, however, I don't think they had to make her quite so perky (I'm seeing nipples).
I can't get her to change! I must be just so set in my ways, there's no hope for me.
