I'm Going to He*l!

Go to Hell. Go directly to Hell.
Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

That's what goes through my head every time I delete the LDS-Gems daily email without reading it.

How many nice things do I have to do in a day to make up for not reading the spiritual - albeit very dry - email quote that comes to my inbox everyday?

I don't know how many good things need to be done, but I would be interested in knowing since I too have been deleting the emails for at least a month.

Here's the solution: unsubscribe :)
I've never subscribed to them. Mostly because I know I won't read them. And if I do read them, chances are it will make me feel guilty. I'm a mom. I have enough guilt thank you very much!

I was thinking the exact thing as Melissa; then you won't feel guilty. I've never heard of those. Just stick to the scriptures.

I'll join you on your way to he*l; My road rage and general intolerance for morons is my ticket. I would like to collect my $200 though.....

Nooooooooo! I would then assure myself a one way ticket! Because then I would NEVER read them. See this way, at least there's a chance I MIGHT read it one day.

I should unsub. huh?

Yeah, I unsubscribed a while ago...

Wait...reading LDS gems is a commandment? Heck.

That's nothing. I would put deleting those emails on the same level as not answering the phone when someone from your ward calls. Not that I do that. I just, shoot. We're all going to hell aren't we?

Yes, unsub! I still need to do that with some daily yoga thing. Yeah, that never gets read.

Oh dear, I don't think that would be very welcome first thing in the morning!

Yeah..I never read mine either. I've just gotta go delete them all or see if I can subscribe to them once a week. That might ease the stress

My dear friend reads them every day...and loves them. But she's 82 years old.

Stick to the scriptures! They are wonderful! :)

Here is my solution....

I look at the subject .... if it's one that pertains to me at that time period, I read it. If not, I move it to a quotes folder. That way if I need a thought, quote, or direction later it's there.

It's clutter, but it is organized clutter.

OH MY HECK. I think the same thing! But, I don't delete it--I, unfortunately, scan through it pretty darn quick. I can't bear the thought of unsubscribing though. :)

AMEN! I feel that way too! I think just one thing makes up for it! Dang it and I am sticing with that thought!

i totally skim each one. you never know when one might be exactly what you need. if it applies i consider it more closely :-)
