Spoiled Brattiness from a Very Blessed Woman

I would rather shop for it, put it away, prepare it, serve it, and clean it up all by myself, than have to plan dinner.

I Hate Menu Planning.

yes, I know how small and bratty that sounds, coming from someone the Lord has blessed in so many many different ways. If these are the problems in my life, well let's just say I'm one lucky woman.

But I feel bratty today, and we're all gonna have to just deal.

There, I said it.

I'm with you. 100%. Planning sucks.

I've discovered that I actually enjoy grocery shopping because it means the planning has HAPPENED! Hooray. I loathe the planning too.

There are kids in Africa that would give their right arms to be able to plan dinner.

I'm just trying to, you know, throw a little perspective into the discussion.

I love to cook... if someone will just say "Hey, why don't you make this or that?" Then I'd be happy to do it! Sigh... I'll tell you what. I'll plan your meals, if you'll plan mine :)

This is why if I were super rich I'd hire a personal chef. As much as I love shopping, going to the grocery store just isn't fun; it's a chore. And I don't like cooking very much. My future family is screwed.

And it's ok to be bratty now and then.

hey randi, are you and I on the same cycle?

I agree, and thanks for reminding me that I need to remember how blessed I am.

Ugh, I feel bratty but not so much spoiled today.

Hey Paul - How long have you been married? Surely you know better than to mess around with irritable women.

I think there are several commenters today that would be willing to help me send YOUR right arm to Africa.

Amen to that!

Hear, hear! I have about 13 different meals that I alternate between and it gets old really fast. Sometimes I just get sick of food...it's the reason I'm fat you know. :P

Randi,

My wife donated my right arm to the cause several years ago.

Paul, Paul, you can't win. Anyone of these other commentators here could get away with (and some of them have) making comments like that here. But you and I can't. They see our names and it changes everything. I think I'm a lttle more careful than that, but then again, I teach kindergarten and am surrounded and out numbered and have been for sometime. Sometimes they even take over the men's room in the teacher's lounge.

I think that I must be weird, but I love making the list, and having it all broken up into different categories. I hate the shopping, love the cooking, hate the cleaning.

I am SOOO with you! I NEVER make a menu, and I have no idea what to make for dinner tonight! Somebody wants taco salad (yum!) but I forgot to buy tortilla chips! :0

i am right there with you on that...

Ooooh. Planning... :P If someone just told me what to make all the time, that would be fine with me!!! The worst part is decided WHAT to make!

you can be a brat any day you want ... cause you're so cool, spunky, and sa-weet!

When all else fails, serve hot dogs. I got rave reviews with that one. Oh yay.

and I would MUCH rather PLAN and SHOP for the meals than actually get down to business and prepare it every night. How about I plan your meals for 2 weeks, and then you cook for me?! :)
