I'm Baaaaack

(Insert psycho music here) reeeeek! reeeeeek! reeeek!

It's been awhile, hasn't it. Thanks everyone who missed me. I missed you, too. In a way that almost kind of worries me.
As I've been reading through my google reader, it seems that there are lots of people who are struggling with the same issues; time on the internet, blogging burn-out, etc...

What?

Oh, you thought I was going to say something profound there? Yeah, no. I got nothin'. Except to say that I'm starting to believe that internet addiction is as real for middle aged women as it is for teen gamers.

Who knew?

So my new strategy is to limit myself to an hour per day. Which is going to have to include writing and surfing.

I have a missionary leaving in 3 weeks. And besides all the things we still have to DO, I would just like to - you know- spend some time with him.
Also I might be able to excavate my laundry room in the near future. Oh, the discoveries that await.
AND- I'm getting ready to start a new business. Which I will give more details about soon, but for now is really sucking up a lot more of my time than I thought it would at this early stage of the game.

On the up side - getting out and actually, you know, having a life - just might make me an interesting person again and possibly, POSSIBLY give me new things to blog about. Which has GOT to be more interesting than my recent trend of blogging about blogging.

At least that's what I'm hoping.

I'm so glad to see you back.

An hour a day sounds great--wonderful goal.

Enjoy the time with your son. Can you believe how much there is to do?!? I know I was shocked.

Can't wait to hear about your new business venture.

I'm so glad your back. I think that it is hard to figure out how to balance your life. I feel that way about food. Why do I have to eat the whole pan of brownies, why cant I just have one. Its kind of like that with everything. I cant wait to hear all about your new business.

I think that's a great idea. It's all about moderation right? Now if I could just master that when it comes to food. :o)

An hour... hmmm... I could do that... maybe... wait? Could I?? You inspire me! Can't wait to hear more about the business!

I recently started blogging and quickly saw that writing and reading blogs could become a serious time-sucker. I also made myself to limit my time on the computer to an hour a day. It makes you try to be more efficient and not to dawdle, doesn't it?

Can I ask where your son is going to serve?

The whole moderation thing is tricky business. But definitely worth figuring out.

For a while I was getting so addicted to the comments and positive validation that I would forget to do things like shower.

OK, not really. But for a while there, I definitely was spending WAY too much time on the computer.

I actually wish I had more time to surf the internet... I try my hardest to get to everyone's blogs every day but sometimes I just fall short....
That's good you are going to spend time with your missionary! :D
I hope everything with your business goes well. I can't wait to hear more about it! Is it going to be something where we can order online? :D...

My goal is to never be on the puter when my family is home. Now that they are in school and no longer work from home I have alot more time

I love that you used the Psycho music! I can almost hear it!

I think you're smart! I'm trying to get smart by taking a day off blogging here and there, but once this middle aged mom person DOES get on the computer, an hour is not long enough! AAAGGGHHH!!! :0
