So for about the eleventy-millionth time, I looked in my freezer today and wondered exactly what the heck is in there. I mean, I'm sure it was all originally, um, food at one time.
Most of it, anyway.
I don't really want to throw it away, and so... Mystery Monday is born.
See, I close my eyes, reach in, and pull out the first 2 things I touch. And then the rule is that they MUST be used in a meal the very same day.
SO I just went in and ceremoniously pulled from the freezer:
Mozzarella Cheese (about 4 cups)
AND
a sandwich size ziplock bag of canned pumpkin.
There's no rule that says I have to use them in the same dish, right? Though maybe a sort of pumpkin lasagna....
OK ewwww.
No really, I'm going to use them both. Really.

Yuck. I don't like pumpkin. I don't want to even think about what you could create with those two things.

Good idea! I have one large chest freezer, 2 small ones and two freezers attached to my two fridges. Hmmm...which to try first!

You could be all "food netoworky" and create mozerella crusted pumpkin raviolis...or something! HA! Then you would blog it, then they would find out about it, and offer you a show, and then you would be world famous...all for cleaning out your freezer!

Actually I made homemade pizza - which had the added bonus of using some pizza dough that was in the freezer, and then some pumpkin cookies with caramel icing for FHE treats.
Very boring.
I really should try to use the 2 things together next Monday. That would make it much more interesting.
The pumpkin cookies with carmel icing, sound great....when can I come to FHE?
That's awesome. Do your kids have any idea you do this or do they just think their mom is whack (or both!) It probably makes cooking more fun.
You should have slipped some pumpkin into the pizza....
