The other day, The Brain mentioned the possibility of he and I getting away and going somewhere. And I've been thinking about all the fun places we've been - this could be exciting!!
And then he said something about camping. Remember camping?
Heaven help us.
At least I know which mattress to use this time... hehehe.

Hey! I have to, I mean get to go camping tonight too! I wonder if we're going to the same place? How hilarious, I mean hysterical it would be if I ran into you at a campsite and your little couples getaway turned into a blogger reunion. Don't worry, I won't stalk you. But I might just yell out your name in the middle of the night to see if anyone answers.
i haven't been camping for many many years...I used to love it...you live in a great state to do it...I need to read your other camping post. Good luck! Have fun and enjoy!
Oh fun. Because everyone should go out and sleep in the cold on the hard ground for a nice romantic get away. Sorry, I'm a TERRIBLE camper!!
Not exactly a romantic weekend getaway!
We haven't been camping in a very, very long time.
I loved your last story--you be sure and get the right mattress ; ) I hope you have a wonderful time--wherever you go.
Have a good time!
I like sleeping in tents, too. Somehow, it's relaxing to hear the wind blowing against the tent, and hear nature sounds.
If you go, I hope you have fun!
I like going camping! We haven't gone in several years because our girlie girl daughter HATES it! We'll get back to it after she gets married! ;)
Bring a level. That way you can find The Most Level Spot. Use the level Luke, use the level... ^v^
At least it makes memories!
Camping is a trailer with air, no tents (what is this the 90's) ;)
I had to laugh at this and your previous post on camping since we are headed out soon... add one large, dysfunctional family to the mix and it should make for some great memories!
I hope you get to go on a "real" getaway :).
Camping SO does not equal romance! If he's thinking getaway, I'd be thinking room service!
Too funny! I've decided that my husband needs to be trained that camping means him and the kids and me curled up with my book at home. That's the life!
I am sooo not a camper. I will go once in awile, but it is far from my favorite thing to do. Not enough joy for the amount of work that goes into getting ready to go and setting up camp. And I don't like bugs or touching worms when we fish. Or touching fish. How am I a boymom?
I absolutely LOVE camping! We are going at the end of the month and I completely understand you with the "airless air mattress" I had the same problem and it was also freezing!
Bring a level.
AH! Thespeedingapple took my comment!
Have fun.
Bring some duct tape.
I LOVE camping. Now I wonder how long we're going to need to put it off. The girls need to be potty trained, willing to sleep outside of a crib and the boy, well, he worries about his hair. He's seven.
Maybe duct tape is the answer for it all...
