Happy Fourth Everyone!

The Brain came home yesterday, and the first thing he said - even before "hi" was

Anne of Green Gables!

25 Shrutebucks for The Brain. You'd be surprised what you can redeem those Shrutebucks for at our house! Nancyface gets the credit on the blog though, because she was the first to officially comment it in. That was fun - thanks for playing!

The only movie on the list I haven't seen recently was Karate Kid. But I would like to see it, and I don't think any of my kids have seen it, so it sounds like there's some Forced Family Fun coming up.

I know - you wish you were invited. Tell you what - bring sugarfree caramel corn and I'll see what I can do.

The Brain also mentioned that he thought for sure I would have included my all time favorite movie quote on there, but he didn't see it. Weeeelll, that's because I haven't seen that movie in - well it's been awhile. It's not my favorite movie, but I like it, and the quote is so funny in context.

I feel I was denied critical, "need to know" information!

Last night we went to a fireworks show that was supposed to be 30 minutes long, and turned out to be only about 10. Maybe it's the economy. But don't worry, during the show we got rained on twice and the sprinklers in the park came on. So at least it FELT like 30 minutes.
(naa, it was actually pretty fun!)

Happy Independence Day!

What are Shrutebucks? And also-yesterday was July third. Why did you see a fireworks show on July third?

Hope4Hannah said...

I know i know! But I'm not going to say, because that wouldn't be fair, seeing how it is a common phrase in our household.

Yeah, what's with the 3rd of July Fireworks show??

Forced Family Fun... good times at your house.

I checked out Karate Kid from the Library and my kids LOVED it. Some movies just don't seem to age at all. My kids also watched War Games over and over. Not bad for 25 year old movies.

Times are tough. We bought red, white, and blue cupcakes at Kroger's for HALF-PRICE because the Bakery lady said they weren't selling at full price. Score!

Isn't that qoute from 'Tremors'?
I loved your list yesterday!!!

Yay Judi! It's actually from Tremors 2, but I wouldn't expect anyone but a geek like me to know that!~

We sat down to watch the fireworks and a fog rolled in. We didn't see a darn one! It was a tad disappointing...

"Wax on, wax off"

Love that movie. I watched it on TV not too long ago. It brought back some great memories (I watched it A LOT as a kid).

Glad you had a great 4th. ;-)

You got ripped on your fireworks display?
Hope it was a good one anyway!

I love Karate Kid. I hope your kids enjoy it--I know it's one my kids really like.

I haven't seen Tremors 2--did see the first one though.

Sorry you only got 10 minutes worth of fireworks.

Now you have to watch Karate Kid.

Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?

Kill Kill Kill!!! :D
