Sue's Blog Book

Have you heard about the book and contest that Sue is coordinating as a fund raiser for Nie Nie?
I haven't decided whether to submit something or not. Not that I don't support the cause or the book, which I completely DO.
It's just that I have a hard time being funny on cue. And I don't really think of myself as a funny blogger. More like "somewhat amusing". Occasionally.

Anyway, I'm not sure I can go head to head with the funniest bloggers out there.

But I wanted to let you know about the contest, in case YOU want to try to get something in there. I know plenty of my readers who are QUITE funny, thank-you very much, and have already written any number of posts that could easily make it into such a collection.

And then we can all sit back and know in our hearts that we knew you BEFORE.

I have the same problem. Such a dilemma.

I would like to submit something, but I can't decide on a post to send in.
Actually, I can't make up my mind about anything. It's really quite sad.

I'm not submitting because I'm not funny. I know Sue said that was no excuse - that she would be the judge. But it is SO an excuse.

You must submit something--you are so great.

I think it sounds like such a wonderful thing. Good for sue to organize it.

Yeah, when your BFF says that you funny queer and not funny ha ha, I think that means you shouldn't submit something for the book. People would read, laugh hysterically and then read mine and start crying. I don't want to be the one downer in an otherwise humorous work.

Oh, and I thought your camping story was hilarious. Submit that.

I think your funny. And not queer funny but wipe those tears, chortle chortle snort funny!

Question: how did you get your imaginary friends box to do that nifty scroll thing?? That's slick!

SUBMIT! SUBMIT!

Thanks for telling people about it, and I really hope you do submit something. You've had a lot of funny posts. :>

I'll have to check out the book. Even if I'm not funny enough to be included - I would probably buy it!

Thanks for dropping by my blog (I'm guessing via Kacy?) I keep having to check the comments on that old post since she linked to it. I actually appreciate each and every comment I get and always visit the people who took time to visit me.

And I love your new word "bizzarity" - I'm totally using it. And I'll give you full credit of course!

I dunno if I could come up with something funny enough. I would be too scared!

You totally should submit. You are one of the funniest bloggers on the block. Yo!

You should do it - you're funnier than me, and I submitted something. So maybe if you don't submit anything that will make mine look more amusing because you're not there to show me up....hmmmm....

Awww - thanks to everyone for submitting to what appears to be a shameless ploy for compliments.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled reality.

(really, though, thanks!)

Yes, I agree with all these lovely comments. Your funniness should be in a book.

And I SO relate to the "being funny on cue" thing. I would totally stink at improv. I'd be all,
um, um (giggle) um... YEAH, um...

OMGosh!! Am I allowed to copy/paste something from your archives and submit it for you??

Do it, girlfriend!!!

I'll so it if you will... I'm not sure what I would submit, but I'm sure I could find something mildly amusing... perhaps my post about the brand of clothing in the "old ladies" section at Kohls called "Sag". Yeah... I don't need a daily reminder in the form of brand labels that remind me that my body is a little droopy in places thankyouverymuch!

Hmmm... I'll have to check it out.
