I'm sorry. I just can't do it.
If you don't already know, many people in the blogging world participate in a little thing in November called NaBloPoMo or National Blog Posting Month. They commit to a post a day for the 30 day period. Which is a lot more work than it may sound like.
As for me, I can't even commit to NaBloPoWe, or even NaBloPoDa. Hey, even NaBloPoHo is stretching it. ( and when I look back on that last acronym or whatever it is, it just looks wrong, doesnt it?) I realize that you may think I often post when I have nothing to say, but really, I try hard not to do that. And I know for sure that I have NOTHING to talk about for 30 days on end. If you thought I was random and shallow before...
Yes an attempt on my part at NaBloPoMo could only end in 2 words:
EPIC FAIL
Good luck to my NaBloPoMo friends, and may the muses of November bring you many experiences for your daily writing sessions. And lots of chocolate cake. Because all good wishes should end in chocolate cake.

And yummy chocolate cake wishes to you too.
Yeah, I didn't even TRY that one!
Chooooooclate caaaaaake. I think I know what I'm making for dessert. Hey, your wish is coming true!!
I was sure I would lose my readers by doing NaBloPoMo, and it seems almost rude to do to them, but I really just want to learn to write shorter posts, and thought forcing myself to do it every day might help.
So it really will help my readers in the long run. Or the short run. (that was supposed to be funny, like I'm trying to make my posts short and so I said short run instead of long run. It didn't work out, though, as I'm sure you realize.)
I'm doing NaBloPoMo. It's the 11, and I've pretty much run out of interesting things to write about.
And yet, I continue to write.
Keep smiling you are awesome! Hope you have a day as beautiful as you :) ♥ Hugs!
Glad that I didn't know about that one! ;-)
I'm with you. NaBloPoMo is an anxiety attack waiting to happen. :)
thanks for working hard to keep those of us newbies current with the lingo! :)
I love NaBloPoMo!! But this year I found a blog that offered some guidance and gave suggested topics for each day. It really helps.
I did the challenge in March to post a list every single day. That stunk. I hated it.
I don't think I could do this either....I don't have that many exciting brain cells to spare.
Yeah... I haven't been the greatest blogger lately. I totally missed my two year blogiversary last week. How sad is that? Anyway, I think chocolate cake should just be a staple for any reason or occassion :)
Never heard of that.....and I'm still struggling with that acronym.
I could probably do it--I usually have random stupid things either running through my head, or stupid things I find that I can easily comment on--but who has the time? Or the patience?
No thanks.
Here's to us 'epic failures'!
Can I join the club too?
No way would I have anything good to say everyday, or time to type it.
Since I'm still fairly new to blogging I'm glad to have been informed of NaBloPoMo. Thanks. I won't be trying it either.
Heck is that what the Giving Thanks Challenge is all about??? I only did it because it has forced me to try and focus on the positive for the month--and for me, that is a good thing.
I'd love to read you EVERY DAY!!!
Thank you for explaining NaBloPoMo. I am so behind when it comes to e-speak. Can't do it either. Love the chocolate cake idea though.
Yeah - I'm joining your club now. I tried. But it was creating writers block. And it sucked all the fun out of blogging.
Oh well - back to normal blogging - without the pressure!!! Yay!!!!
Just found your site today. Too funny!
nooooooo thank you! i'm barely survivin at 1x / week! my kids would probably impeach me.
This has been a crazy blogging month, it's been hard keeping up with everyone. I don't think I could do it, and I'm not even going to try.
Ha, HA!!! I purposely took a week off this month, just to be a rebel. Join the crowd, sister!! Enjoy the blogging moments when you can, and feel no guilt.
Except for the chocolate cake.
I just can't handle the pressure of HAVING to blog:) And can I have yellow cake with chocolate frosting instead?
Sounds like a fun idea, but I won't be able to do one post a day for 30 days. I'm struggling with 2x a week as it is. But thank goodness for those who can because I'll have a lot to read, and I like reading so much more than posting.
Chocolate Cake. Yummy!
Found you via Kimberly.
I won't even try to participate in NaBloPoMo. There's no way. There would be about 20 posts of nothing but funny pictures.
I could NEVER participate in NaBloPoMo. I NEVER plan blogs. I NEVER save drafts. All of my posts are random. When I have a blog idea...I run to a computer.
I just couldn't do it this year.
And everyone else doing it has me sooooo far behind in my blog reading.
Thanks for being one of the gals who, when I opened my feed reader today, had a blessed little number 1 next to their blog name.
You rock.
I tried. I really did. I've done pretty good, but not daily.
As for cake, can I have peanut butter m&ms instead? I could eat those daily.
I did it last year successfully, but this year. . .I just didn't need the additional stress.
"all good wishes end in chocolate cake" - truer words have never been spoken
Good wishes can end in chocolate pie, too.
Or chocolate chip cookies.
Or chocolate covered pretzels.
The important ingredient is chocolate.
EPIC FAIL!!! YAY!!!
I htink we should all agree that wishes should end in chocolate cake
:)
I'm with you, my friend! I'm only good for a post once or twice a week...and even then, they're not actually GOOD! ;)
There is a group over on Velveteen that does a NOBLOMOFO which is an ANTI nobloblahblah... (whatever that thing is...)
I have thought of joining that one. Just cause I like the initials!
