How to Make the Cold Work FOR You

It's 14 degrees outside, and in (slightly) related news - -
Today I found a muffin shop that will make me a 21 oz fruit and Splenda smoothie with only 90 calories in it!

So even though I'm sh-sh-shivering, I'm sitting here with my sm-sm-smoothie treat. (Look, it was that or a giant 600 calorie muffin, OK?)

I'm thinking about our youth activity tonight - which is outdoor ice skating. Now, the activity won't be canceled because of the temperature, but I think I know a good way to shorten it, AND there's the added bonus that they may never ask me to bring refreshments again.

What do you think?

Way to choose the more healthy option!
And when it comes to church activites there are 3 things that are vital (but you'll survive if you have 2 out of three): it needs to be short, there needs to be food, and members of the opposite sex should be involved. You've got food, you're trying to keep it short-so you're golden!

Perfect! If you're shivering, then you'll actually burn off the few calories in it.

I have discovered a love for the Banana Chocolate Vivannos at Starbucks. They are actually healthy and relatively low in calories! Delicious!

I want one, but I'm already cold and it's only 28 here.

Good luck tonight. Will you ask Mimi to record your skills on the ice for me? That I want to see.

LOL YOu will never be asked to bring anything ever again. I will have to remember that. Smoothies in the winter, hot cocoa in the summer.

Too bad I am STARVING right now and dying at the thought of any substance that can satiate this herculean hunger.

OK- I know you will all hate me! But let me brag for just one second, last week we hit 80 degrees a few days in a row! I really did need a smoothie- because I was sweating! Now that I have bragged for a second, what a great time, Youth Groups and ice skating, lots of really embarrassing moments to bring up later!

Dude, I love your line of thinking. And smoothies are the bomb. I totally have those in the winter, because they're so easy to make. In fact I'll probably have one tonight before I head to my meeting.....even though it's 15 degrees outside!!

Great Idea, I like to eat ice cream when the barometer drops.

I think you are plain mean! LOL
Come over Friday and tell us what your Fantasy Island Fantasy is...even if it is freezing out fourteen year olds so you don't have to keep skating outside in ridiculous temps!

The family and I went to Coldstone Creamery when it was -14. We consumed a few more than 90 calories, though...

You people who live in the snow are some kind of hardy! Not cancel the activity b/c of the temperature? Are you all masochists or something? You won't catch us Californians outside if the temp goes below 35. We're pansies.

My daughter is looking over my shoulder and she wants your smoothie. What's the recipe?

It's like we are reading each other's minds. Just today I was dying for a smoothie.

Yeah, still dying for it.
You lucky!

I'm shivering just reading this. Hope your activity was short and sweet.

That is definitely one way to keep the activity short.

BTW, expecting to see pictures from the activity ; )

We went outdoor ice skating last week....when it was a 70 degree day...not gonna lie, it was beautiful! But the smoothies should do the trick!

Was it at EG Lake? (How's that for vague?)
