Last week, I went here to visit! It seems like I go here a lot, doesn't it?
Probably because I do.
We got to visit with my family, which was really fun!
<--------I'm pretty sure they all think it's me.
I mean, after all... right?
We got to hike to the top of a really steep trail, which took the whole morning. There was a guest book you could sign at the time and everything, so you KNOW it was a real hike. If you ever find that same mountain, don't look for my name in the guestbook, though, because I asked The Brain to sign in for me. I think he used one of his usual pseudonyms; M. Mouse, Ronald Reagan, or his current trendy favorite Barack Obama.
I have no idea how many wedding reception books I let him sign for the first few years of our marriage before I caught on to the fact that he was doing that. I just picture those poor brides wondering if they have the beginnings of dimensia because they just can't remember Mr. and Mrs. Monty Python attending their reception.
The hike was fun, but you knew I was an outdoorsy person already, right?
(yes, I made this one!!)
Anyway, I got to see this for the first time ever!
But it looked more like this the day we were there
Hey! If you ever get a chance to ride THIS you should do it! There's a real Polar Express train operated by the Grand Canyon Rail Road in December. My parents took the whole family as a Christmas gift and it was so darn fun. We wore our jammies and they gave us hot chocolate, cookies, and we sang Christmas carols while the conductor punched our tickets. The kids were completely enthralled, and you know me and trains. I am all about a good train ride!
On the way home, Santa came through and gave everyone one of these!
When it came time for this, I thought about it.... But then I came to my senses.
Sort of sums up resolution making in one succinct phrase, doesn't it?

Hey chica! You've been missed. Glad you had a good time with the fam.
Your little bit about The Brain using pseudonyms made me chuckle (HAHAHA, Monty Python....)
Gotta have the chocolate one! How does that work? Do you sell the flair or do we just swipe the pic from your blog? I just want to do the right thing, here. . . and pls go vote for me at mormon mommy blogs--unless one of the other nominees is a friend of yours or something. I wouldn't want to be the end of a beautiful relationship or anything. :)
I'm sending the marathon one to my dad, who's training for one.
I just love the one about how outdoorsy you are. :)
Wow, that Polar Express ride sounds awesome! what a great holiday activity idea.
I'm outdoorsy, too. Oh, yeah! :-)
Hooray! You're back! :)
I'm so glad you had such a fun time! Your flair is great, as always! :)
The train ride sounds like so much fun! :D
looks like you had a a button load of fun...love the last one and your patio blogging one was pretty darn cool as well.
Wahoo for Friday Flair! I'm glad you all had a good time in our great state of AZ! Oh, come on you have to say it's beautiful this time of year! I'm pretty sure I'm the crazy aunt on this side of the family. But when we use crazy we use it positively. It's great to be the "cool" aunt!
I am so happy you are back--and with Friday Flair.
Sounds like you had a great trip--so glad.
LOL at The Brain--too cute.
If you are looking for a great train ride, try the one through the Canadian Rockies.
So glad you're back!! :D
You MADE FLAIR!! And I love it!! Very clever and fun :)
My cousins all signed my wedding album as Garth Books, Trisha Yearwood and Clint Black... wanna guess why? ;)
I always love your flair... it puts a smile on my face!
Thanks for throwing that marathon one in there...just what I needed:)
I'm jealous you were in AZ where it's not freezing cold!
Love the buttons - and someday I AM going to see the Grand Canyon! In person!
:D
Always a good laugh here with Friday Flair! Thanks
I went to bed early! I didn't know there was flair ;(
I love the pseudonyms! HAHAHA! So naughty.
"Mommy's on a diet we're all goning to die" That's what I used to think when my mom would go on a diet. Ah, good times, good times.
Yay! You were doing something super awesome! I love the Grand Canyon. I'd love to see it wiht snow. I bet it was cold.
Yay! You're back. Your vacation sounds amazing...and I had no idea there was a REAL Polar Express. What an amazing experience!!!
Glad you made it back to the real world....I mean cyber-world. :)
Hey...we've missed you...especially your "flair"!
My plan for next year's Christmas activities is to ride the Polar Express train. We have one in Heber City, Utah. It's soooo popular you have to purchase tickets 8/1...(yep, it's on the calendar already).
Hope you had a great holiday...and here's to RESOLVING...NOT!!
OOO, there's a polar express about 2 hrs away from us in Oregon. We've never been, someday.
I can't read the stacked cookie one and I'm dying to know what it says!
Glad you are back.
It says:
I call it "moderation".
I love the flair! Welcome back.
So many of these are so funny. The marathon, the chocolate...
I like the last one. Have I failed or succeeded? That's great! Welcome home.
Welcome back!
It sounds like you had such a fun time. Love the flair as per usual. :)
Welcome back!
I typically skip all the New Year resolution hullabaloo, but I made some this year. Big ones. We'll see how that goes...
WOW...I love the chocolate button...so funny! I am not an outdoorsy person...but I am definitely the crazy Jane in the family...or Shelle! :)
LOVED the 'make my friends fat' one. Hoot.
we missed you! welcome back.
I love it! The first couple times I saw Friday Flair I thought "hmmm weird" but, well, you've made a believer out of me.
Hey, I was in Arizona last week too! Funny thing is, my sister (who lives in AZ) went on a hike in AZ this week. So much in common...or not...or whatever. :)
You were in AZ, and I didn't get to see you. (me pouting)
I wanted to go to the Polar Express train this year...but couldn't find the time for it.
