So I call her, but I always feel like it's never enough, so sometimes I'll get her something that she loves, like a new decorative pitcher for her collection. I don't know. It's interesting to try to figure it out, even now that I'm a mom. Because - shocker - I don't want anything!
How true is that! I think that my idea of a perfect day would be no fighting between my kids, picking up after themselves, and making & cleaning up after dinner. Nothing else would be necessary. But I NEVER would have understood that as a kid, never. Have a happy Mother's Day! :~D
My mom used to say the same thing and I thought she was kidding. Now I ask for the same thing, with a side of fries. And a root beer. And so help me if I have to clean up any of the messes they make while serving me breakfast in bed....
My Mom's dream in life was to have the whole house clean at the same time. BORING is what we thought. Now (at 85) she has a woman come clean for her and I do her laundry and change her sheets every week. But What Do I Get For Her For Mother's Day????? Love the Flair BTW!
That is some great flair, my favorite is the ask not one. I just saw a great example of a classic mother's day gift, http://www.whataboutmomblog.com/2009/05/08/petulance-preserved/

Have a Happy Mothers Day :D
Ha! I like the 2nd to last one.
Happy mother's day!
Love the sayings! We should make a list and post them of all the things mothers said to us. And we'd probably all have the same list.
No capes, no capes! You'll get sucked into an airplane or something. lol
I keep telling the kids they could wash my car for Mothers' day. Nobody's taken me up on it yet. darn
I was crushed when I found out there was no Good Housekeeping Fairy. Sad day indeed. :)
Yep. No fighting and clean rooms and I will be ecstatic!

Happy Mother's Day Randi. Put your feet up at least once this weekend :)
I asked for the exact same thing for Mother's day.
I also asked for that for my birthday, Christmas, Valentine's day, Memorial day, Vetrans' day and Arbor day.
You would think that they would get the hint.
The second flair doesn't work for me. My oldest is at least 4 inches taller than me.
I'm pretty sure your mom understands (you know, about the mood ring and the chia pet). :)
Someone please tell me! What do mom's want?

i was gonna get nat a mood ring. are you saying that's a bad idea?
what about straight forks?
Oh my gosh. Clean rooms and no screaming sounds downright CELESTIAL at the moment.
Now that I'm a "grown-up" my mom only want's pictures of us and our kids. My answer to my kids is for somebody ELSE to do the dishes for once!
I can't wait till my kids are old enough to have the second to last one quoted at them . . .
AMEN!
I love the super hero one. Because mom's really are super heroes!
Happy Mother's Day on Sunday :)
I won't be able to use the height one for long as my kids will be taller than me before I know it. :) Very cute though

"Clean your room"
Every.single.day.
Ah my poor Mom, she suffered so much with me...but I was worth it, right? ;)
You were birthed by a VERY smart mom! :)
I'm going to steal the "ask not what your mother can do for you" button ; )
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
