Random Comment Day

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that October is my favorite month. But I don't know if I've ever mentioned that it's my birthday month! So in honor of October, my VERY favorite whimsical bloggy thing to do...

RANDOM COMMENT DAY  WEEKEND

Tell me your favorite quote, how often you clip your toenails, tv characters from different shows that should meet and marry, whether you've ever been to Argentina...anything really!  The more random the better.

The only comments not allowed are Happy Birthday comments... because that wouldn't really be random, would it?!

If you've never commented before, this is your day!

I'll say "Happy Birthday Month" any time I want.

Also - If you can see me, I can see you. If you can't see me, you are probably seconds away from death.

Also, strawberries may be expensive but they make the fridge smell SO good so it's totally worth it. Not to mention they taste good.

I took French in junior high, and when I asked Heidi (when she was in grade 3 or 4) to ask her French teacher what "je ne sais pas" meant, I wasn't very impressed when she came home and said the teacher said I don't know until I realized that's what it means ; )

How many licks does it take really to get to the center of a toostie roll pop? Have you ever tested this theory? Have YOU ever walked outside in pajamas in the dead of winter to get your newspaper? I have. How many times do you usually check your email? 1,5, 10 times a day? Be honest....I check mine about 5 or 10 times a day...

I never knew a spin class could kick my butt so hard. Wowza.

And another thing about exercising. I tried to go down some stairs right after my class and my knees (yes, both) TOTALLY BUCKLED because I'm a wuss. Hooray! So, after exercising, I took the elevator. I felt really cool.

Numerous people have eaten in my kitchen and gone on to lead healthy, normal lives.

"Numerous" = my husband, four children, various extended family members, countless friends, and at least five dozen missionaries. And I guess I should include myself, but I'm not sure how normal I am.

Yesterday at work my boss asked me if I ever had knee surgery. And then proceeded to tell me he was getting it because his wooden leg was giving out. I believed him for about an hour until he couldn't keep from laughing at my guillibleness.

Your blog is becoming more and more of a favorite.

Also, I just got my hair cut and the "salon" was completely unlit except for the sunlight coming in through a small window in the door (only window in the room) which hit the left side of my head. My right side was pretty much in darkness. There was one lightbulb in the room (turned off) and it's right near the door.

My almost-6 year old daughter gave birth to a pumpkin yesterday. Multiple times. Each time, it was born dead. According to my 4 year old son, the reason it kept dying at birth was because it was being bitten by monsters. What kind, you ask? Skeletons.

Must be Halloween season.

"The memories of my family outings are still a source of strength to me. I remember we'd all pile into the car - I forget what kind it was - and drive and drive. I'm not sure where we'd go, but I think there were some trees there. The smell of something was strong in the air as we played whatever sport we played. I remember a bigger, older guy we called "Dad." We'd eat some stuff, or not, and then I think we went home. I guess some things never leave you." -Jack Handy

P.S. Happy Birthday! I love your blog!

As I drove home from taking the kids to school this morning, a Seinfeld scene came to mind. No clue why. It was the one where Jerry's at the car rental place saying, "No, I don't think you know what it means to hold a reservation. You know how to TAKE a reservation, but you don't know how to HOLD it."

I've been to Argentina! For a year and a half. But, you already said that, and so did someone else on here, so I guess it's probably not random now.

I think I freaked out several of the kids from our ward today by singing a love song to another man they know (not my husband)! I think they think we kissed, too. Ah, the magic of theater!
