Nothing To See Here

Okay, okay.  I'll stop with the Grammar Rock posts.  For now I mean.  But it's possible that in the future, I may have something to say about Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla.  You never know.

So besides Grammar Rock, then,  what do we have to talk about?

....Cricket....

...Cricket...

I know, right?

It seems that my life is stuck  in one of those cycles where I just hurry from one event to the next, barely crossing events off my calendar before I begin writing lists of things I need to do for the next one.

And not really noteworthy events to blog about, either, unless you count things like canning 140 cases of cooked carrots at the cannery, complete with cranberry cupcakes afterward .  (Ok they weren't cupcakes - but alliteration makes me happy, ok?)   I made Cranberry Orange bread, and Pumpkin Pecan bread, and both seemed to be a hit. (yay!)

Next up on my calendar :  New Moon Party and double feature tomorrow night, which I am very excited about.  I can't wait to be out with my girls!  That would be my own daughters, as well as my amazing friends, together in one big theater party room.  Like I could miss that. (even though I predict being asleep before Edward dents the van.)

notes to self:   buy more diet coke.  And a bigger purse.

**********

In Other News... my quest to open a small business during the worst economy since the great depression continues.  It's actually looking pretty good, though after riding this roller coaster for 2 years now, though I think it's too soon to use the word "excited".  Let's just stick with "delusional".
Hey, it could happen.  It even MIGHT happen.

***********

Does it make sense that I refuse to watch Oprah's Sarah Palin interview because I've been boycotting Oprah for a year now because she wouldn't have Sarah Palin on?  Because it all seems very rational until I write it down like that.

***********

Through all this, I am still struggling to keep my flybaby status.  I could just let it go, but I can't stand the thought of not having a plan.  Even if I don't follow the plan, there's comfort in having one.

**********

And that, my friends, pretty much sums it up.

artistic license is always acceptable when it allows awesome alliteration

i <3 AMC because you don't have to have a big purse. we carry our 42 oz drinks from QT in a drink holder, and our candy in a walmart sack :-)

ohh, i know i know. we can throw a joint kneaders grand opening slash sam's third birthday party.

i mean, at this pace....

let oprah make her amends, and THEN decide if you accept them. I mean, it's perfectly reasonable to wait another year to watch the interview. that's how long she made you wait.

I hope your business works out!

And I didn't know Oprah refused to have her on. Interesting.

I've been boycotting Oprah for a really long time and the Sarah Palin thing just sealed the deal. I broke my ban to watch NieNie on Oprah... and I did it for Stephanie, NOT O. I think I'll just look for the highlights of the interview on youtube.

I can't wait to see New Moon! I'm going with my sister-in-law on Friday.

And I've boycotted Oprah for forever cuz she bugs...but I'm curious about how things will go between her and Sarah.

Who is Dave and how can I get him to come and copiously comment on my blog? Hey, thanks for the encouragement on my blog today. . . made my day. I enjoyed catching up with you! Wish I could blog more .. one day soon, I hope!

Of course the whole Oprah-Palin thing makes sense. Just because it seems irrational once you see it in writing means nothing. Nothing!! And I really hope that's true, or else I'm in a lot of trouble.

I'm in one of those go-go-go, make-a-list-and-go-some-more stages too. I think it might last until January. So maybe I need some Coke as well.

Heidi - Dave can be bribed. but you have to agree to stuff like chocolate covered bacon.

And Christy do you watch The Office? Because your comment reminded me of Dwight shunning and unshunning Andy, and it made me lol.

Dave- thanks for the extra year. I can definitely hold this grudge out till then.

Even when you have nothing noteworthy to post about, somehow it makes for a great post!

Great post. Cranberry orange bread, pumpkin pecan bread--both sound delicious. Understand the go, go, go kind of days. Lists? Don't know where I'd be without them.

A night out with the girls sounds like great fun--and New Moon even makes it better. Have a great time.

I'm excited for you about your business--it happens to be one of my favorite places to eat.

I don't watch Oprah very often at all--did see the NieNie interview and the Stephanie Meyer, but that's it.

What's flybaby???

You're better than I--I cheated on my anti-Oprah streak and watched Monday's episode.....because I love Sarah Palin!! I watched it for her; not Oprah. I couldn't help but feel Oprah was a little hostile. I'm pretty sure she did this for ratings (since Palin's book hit numero uno way before its release date); not because she actually likes the woman.

Hmmm. Yeah, this administration is not too kind to small businesses; so good luck with that endeavor. But seriously, I hope things pick up and this thing can take off.....because Kneaders RULES!!!

I can never get enough Grammar Rock.
Interjections, show excitement, or emotion. They're generally set apart from the sentence by an exclamation point,
or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong.

That's going to stay with me as I try to fall asleep.

I am so glad you've had such successful events! Christmas season always seems to start off this way...busy!!
I am glad you decided to go to the movie. Even if you have to sit with all those Edward fans.

Bunny loves the piano intro on "Rufus Xavier Sarsparilla." Just thought I'd share.

What is this "Flybaby status" of which you speak? I know about Flybaby, but tell me what you've been doing. I'm considering joining up with her... again.

(I can't watch Oprah anymore)

I give you special dispensation to watch Oprah, but just this once.

aliteration is our friend!

Kneaders, I'll have to check it out.

I know its weird but don't forget the sunflower seeds, or if you don't like them try pistachios, trust me.

I guess Oprah just announced that she'll only be on TV for another year... so, if you can boycott her for just a little longer... You'll have won! :D

Good luck with your business!!
