We Have A Winner!

My family loves to play games.
Here's the game I'm bringing to Thanksgiving this year!

It's like Bingo, but with things that will make you laugh and wince at the same time.  In case you can't read them (I know the lettering is small, but it's easier at the Milko site) some of the bingo spots are:

Help Dry Dishes
Antacids
Choking
Broken Dinnerware
Green Beans
Go for a Walk
Sore Subject
Blown Diet
Belch
Test Grandpa's Patience
Kiss Somebody
...and the list goes on.

I think it's hilarious! And it's all going to happen either way.  Might as well get it all out there, right?  I'll just let everyone print their own cards, and have at it.

I love it when my family gets together, but it's exhausting. It's not that we're all that crazy. (Present company excepted, of course) We're just a LOT of people. We like to do everything together, and we like to keep very busy.. All 35 of us.

This year, my brother who is the organizer extraordinaire, is having us all over to his house in the country, where he has has all kinds of things planned:
Our own Turkey Trot 5K
Family Turkey Bowl
pheasant hunting
shopping
paintball
trail runs and hikes
games (rock band, anyone?)
mountain biking
BYU game in high def
bonfires
and of course a HUGE dinner.  Probably more than one.

He even hooked up his old oven in his garage so he can cook 2 turkeys at a time.

(is my sister-in-law a saint?  why yes, yes she is!)

See, the thing is, we're in denial about how big we are. It just doesn't really occur to anyone that if you take 35 people to the movie theater, we are probably not going to be able to sit together. And then we're all totally annoyed through the whole movie, which completely cracks me up.

My family is SO excited to go!

Anyway, I thought you might like to have the link and the idea for your own Thanksgiving this year!

You're Welcome, and uh, good luck!

Your family is awesome. I hope to someday repeat such awesomeness a little bit at a time in both of mine. (in-law, siblings, you know.)

MILKO looks too good to be true.

I'm totally going to use this for thanksgiving with my inlaws this year, how fun. Thanks for the idea.

The MILKO game is hilarious! It sounds like a fun get together for your family.
We have 35-50 people at our family Thanksgiving each year too, except instead of crowding into someone's house, we reserve the church. The kids play basketball and run around in the gym.
The good part is that I only need to bring one dish, the bad part, no leftovers.

Can I come to your house for Thanksgiving? I think we are going to be by ourselves. Which is fine too.

That is going to be an insane amount of people! Wow good luck.. but hey at least it isn't at your house :)

I'm so jealous you're all getting together!! I tried to make this year a big Thanksgiving...but we're still gonna be rather smallish comparitive to our "real" size.

As I looked at the site and clicked on the "how to play", I was thrilled to realize we will be able to play because we have all the things necessary to play ; ) I'm going to print those cards.

Getting together with family is what Thanksgiving is all about--hey, it's what every holiday is all about.
Have a great time.

I feel bad for the people that get the "Adult Beverage" piece on their card.

Unless you redefine "Adult Beverage" to mean "Diet Coke."

Then it's more of a gimme square than the center one :-)

You're absolutely right!
We'll make it Diet Coke W/Lime, to be sporting about it.

I'd do the big meal and the shopping; then I'd want to take a nap. That's a lot of activity planned for so many people.

Have fun!

So where does blogging fit into that jam packed weekend?? Oh, I see.

That game is a crackup! If my parents had all my sibs and grandkids together we'd be 24 and if my grandparents had all their family together there would be well more than 150, so your family size doesn't seem that hard to imagine. Craziness, but fun.

So much fun. Bring it on.

You're so lucky! Those plans sound like a blast! I especially miss family at Thanksgiving. It's hard to live so far away from everyone!

It is always a ton of fun and a ton of work! And the cousins have a blast together...so it makes it worth all the work.

I'll definetly be printing some MILKO cards for Thanksgiving. My family puts the fun in dysfunctional and this will surely add to the "fun".

Thanks for sharing the idea.

Thanks! Looks like a great game - we will have to play it. And we will be a big group, too. About 30 people... another game we will play is "Quelf". Have you heard of it? You'll die laughing while playing it.
