Driver's Ed(ge)

Lizzie has been studying for her driver's permit.
Last night on our way home from somewhere we were sitting in a turn lane and she said,
"So Mom, I guess you only have to use your turn signal when you are the first car in line to turn, right?"
I looked down. Arrggg.
It's going to be a long 12 months, isn't it?

When we were teaching our oldest to drive, I remember thinking that the 50 hours of driving time was SO much! But after the year, and after the 50 hours, I realize that it is necessary! There is just so much to learn!

My little brother drove me crazy when he was learning to drive: it took him ages to realize that you could turn the steering wheel AND push the accelerator at the same time when taking a corner!

Thanks, Kathleen.

You'd think teaching someone to drive would be fun, wouldn't you? But I agree with Randi (when do I not?) it really does take a long time. I also agree with Crystal about lots and lots of patience! :)

hi randi: thanks for stopping by today and making me smile because of what you told me. you are so kind to me, i love it. you are cool.

did i tell you that as of one month before my motorhome road trip, i now am experienced motorhome driver?! it is 30 ft long and it is a "class A" type -- the really tall ones. and i didn't kill anybody or get in any wrecks. i am woman, hear me roar! he he. what a good confidence booster to accomplish that. i never EVER thought i would actually drive a motorhome, i was content to be the passenger, but hubby asked for some help on this long road trip, so i did it. yay for me! :) just wanted to share my little accomplishment that i am excited about. ~blessings to you this night girl, kathleen
