Note to PreSchool Moms

Do you ever wonder why moms of older kids say the thinks they do to preschool type moms? It used to drive me CRAZY! But I'm starting to understand what they were trying to say.
You can read more at

Mormon Mommy Wars

where I am the guest columnist today.

Feel free to comment over there, over here, or both. (I would LOVE it!)

I loved it- when do I not??

You are so right about all the things we can control (friends etc) when our kids our little. It is so scary to me to think about sending my little ones into the world of school!

Oh, great. You mean it's not over? I am sure that the teen years at our house will be along the same lines. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, Randi! I love it...it gave me a great feeling of not being overwhelmed. When they put me in YW, all I could say was: "Thank you so much. Primary was so much more than I could handle now." After listening to the other's in my presidency there are days that I think, "I don't want teenagers EVER." I'm glad to hear your MOM perspective.

Randi--I saw that you thanked me for a recommendation, but I haven't read that book! Unless there's another Miggy out there I think I'm getting credit for something I didn't do. :) But I have been looking for a good book to read. . .

Melia! Was it YOU that recommended The Glass Castle? I read it and it was good. Sad, but I would recommend it. It made me appreciate my childhood.

For someone going through the "transitional" phase, I could not have said it better myself. And congrats on another MMW pub!
