Just For the Record

I would like you to know, that my student driver is actually an extremely good beginner driver. She manages to remember the little nuances of driving.

Like which one is the brake and which one is the gas.

And she always remembers to wave apologetically at the other drivers in case she has offended them in any way.
She is even beginning to master the art of changing lanes as more of a drifting sensation, and less of a Cruella DeVille style aiming-AT-the-next-lane-then-straightening-out style of driving.

Apparently someone thinks that my blogging has left the impression that she is a less than um, safe driver. And I wouldn't want to leave anyone with that incorrect impression.

And the fact that I don't have many many MORE blogging stories about student driving at this time is proof-positive.

On another topic - I am still trying to decide how to handle my children's names on my blog. I wasn't comfortable just using their names, so I switched to their nicknames. But I feel a little silly when I refer to them as such - at least in print. Sort of like I'm just making up imaginary friends. And let me just say - you CAN'T make this stuff up. And I have the gray hairs to prove it. So a new naming experiment will find me renaming my children again. If you know them, you'll recognize who is whom - I'm sure. And if you don't know them, then you couldn't really care - and I'm sorry you had to go through the trauma which is this paragraph.

Thank-you.
I'm now returning you to your regularly scheduled life - already in progress.

I love their nicknames! I think they're real sweet. Do they like them?

I don't know...hubby likes the name "Cajun Man!" But I came up with it as a huge mass of the giggles in church.
