OH MY Goodness!

I've been trying to sit down all day long to blog...

But instead, I've been trying to make a dent in Mount Washmore there in my laundry room, working on some tax things with looming deadlines, and trying to get to the 100+ tomatoes which are going to be rotting soon if I don't get them off the counter!

Good thing Mimi's home sick today. She can stir the spaghetti sauce.

***** Update*****
Ok I have a giant pot of spaghetti sauce simmering on my stove, but it's been simmering for about an hour and it still looks pretty watery. Is there a trick to thickening it? Or do you just have to keep cooking it?**

hi randi:
"mount washmore" made me snicker.

get your stuff done like you eat an elephant, just one bite at a time :)

do you use tomato paste? another can? i don't ever like spagetti until the next day (after everything has sat in the pot in the fridge over night) because i think it is usually too runny until a night spent in the fridge.

and ... i am so first! i rock! :)

come and see me tonight. i posted two posts (one is a roll on the floor laughing moment and the other is serious). come and share with me my news :)

goodnight friend,
kathleen

Mt Washmore....that's a good one!

As for thickening. I know if you just boil it it will reduce. If you wanted to you could try a little corn starch in cold water and add that. That's how I thicken things.

I love the mount rushmore comment!

(Since i'm commenting the next day I'm assuming your spaghetti sauce is not still on the stove--or it would be REALLY thick!!!)
