Happy New Year!

Yesterday we went ice skating. Turns out about eleventy seven people had the same idea. Check out this no parking zone:

(If you click the picture you can see it bigger)

But it was worth it! Is this a gorgeous lake or what??

And I'd forgotten how good skating is for exercise. I just hope it balanced out the 5 gallons of hot chocolate I drank afterward.

I used to LOVE to roller skate, but I have never learned how to ice skate. I'm glad you had a great day.

Happy New Year.

I hate ice skating. It's how I got my only stitches. But I'm glad you had fun!

Hate ice skating; love roller blading.

I'm confused.....does that place not want us to park there? ;-)

I'm such a bad skater it's funny. Seriously, I enjoy myself simply because of the laughs I give everyone else. =)

I love iceskating, except we don't have a purty lake to skate on, we have to go to the rink, which reminds me that we were supposed to do that over the break. Cub scout requirement!

Happy 2008!

Ice skating rinks are sort of rare in Vegas, so I never learned. But my kids all want to learn, so I think we will be looking for a rink soon. Not sure if I'd be brave enough for a LAKE though. Visions of cracking ice. Eeek!

I love how all those signs point every possible direction "You SHALL NOT park!" :) Awesome.

I can't skate to save my life, so my hat is off to you iceskater.

I have never been ice skating but I think I read somewhere that it cancels out all the calories you eat or drink within 4 hours of doing so.

The no parking thing is a riot!! Pretty picture of the lake.

Wait...I don't get it. Are they trying to say they don't want anybody parking there?

Yes, the lake is so beautiful! I've only ice skated in a rink, and I was so bad at it, I would grab total strangers to keep from falling! True story.

I tried to squeeze in ice skating to our trip yesterday... we ran out of time. And your pictures aren't showing up for me... sniff sniff... I'll try again later...
