(Yes, it was a huge surprise! About 4 weeks earlier than expected.)

Congrats! Too bad there's nothing really exciting in South Dakota. Maybe he can go do some cow tipping on p-day or something.

Yay for not having to mail things internationally! (when my brother served in Fiji it sometimes took over a month and a half for things to go back and forth) Congratulations!

Coo-wull. Lots of Indians there. Indiginous peoples? Tribes? What term should I use? Ahh!!!

I bet he learns tons, and then maybe he can tell me what term to use.

CONGRATULATIONS! Isn't it the most exciting thing to see that envelope in the mailbox? I'm so excited for you that he'll be in the states...that means you can send him care packages whenever you want, and the postage will be cheap, he'll get them quickly! You can even send homemade cookies and they won't be moldy when they arrive! YAY! :D

Yay! Hurray!! South Dakota is truly an awesome state with wonderful, down to earth people. If he runs into any with the last name of Blum, they are probably my relatives. (Keep me posted!)
