You know that scene in You've Got Mail where Meg Ryan is sick and Tom Hanks comes to the door and she's running around picking up kleenex and cups and bowls from everywhere? Every time I see that, I wonder how one person can make that big of a mess. Yesterday I looked at all the stuff on my bedside table and laughed, because it was piled high with kleenex and bowls and cups. What was that thing about judge not... something... something....? Oh well.
So in lieu of a real post, I'm going to pass you on to some things that have really tickled me lately!
In no particular order:
- You will be aghast with laughter (it's the only way to describe it) when you read this 4 part series by Charette written on the theme Three's a Crowd. And props to Heather of the EO for pointing me in her direction.
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
- Know what kind of blogging buddy you are here in a great post by Mombabe.
- I actually cried over an animal - possibly for the first time in my life - while I watched this. ( clearly cold medicine makes me a little loopy) p.s. I snopes-ed it, and it's a true story.
- and back to Youtube one more time because I think this message is so powerful. (spoiler: It's pro-marriage, pro California Prop 8)
Oh, wait. That's me.

Thanks for the push! Fantastic links--hope you feel better soon!
Que the 'Born Free' music. That was an amazing video with the lion!
Hope you feel better soon :)
hope you feel better soon. thanks for the linky love, love.
That lion thing made me cry too. And I'm not on cold medicine.
I guess we know what kind of blog-language you speak?? :>)
Get better soon. (achoo!)
RE: The Lion
I almost never forward anything (literally, maybe once or twice in my life), and I forwarded that when I got it a few months ago.
I want a lion. I totally promised Susan I would feed it, and walk it, and train it to do really neat tricks, and teach it to go poo in its box, and...
She says no. I never get anything!
I'm sick today too. Let's wallow together.
I sent the two oldest to play with a dear friend (mine!), the baby is napping and I'm still in my pajamas.
I'm a bad sickie.
Yes, feel better. Last week I had a cold and had that same experience with my bed-side table! Ha!
Sorry your head is pounding...
I love Christian the Lion! Although I'm pretty upset at you for making me cry from it. Thanks a lot.
I hope you feel better soon. I too have felt like Meg Ryan in that scene. I seriously have plowed through kleenex during some of my illnesses.
Thanks for the tip on the lion video. I posted it on mine too...
Okay, it's not the cold medicine because I'm perfectly healthy and that lion video made me cry and I now all sniffly and runny but I can't find any tissue handy, so I got to go. Get better!
Sorry you're feeling so yeurghy - hope it passes quickly!
Blaugh! Feel better. I have to have a kitchen size garbage can by my bed when I get sick, or I'd get snowed under with tissues. Let your teens handle dinner. They can heat up chicken noodle right?
Bummer you are feeling blah. We just got over all of that. I hope it doesn't return... EVER!
I love that animal movie, I think I had tears too. :) I saw it a couple of months ago.
Anytime I see that part in "You've Got Mail" I feel like running around Meg Ryan's apartment with a can of Lysol!
Hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself. Hunker down with a big blanket and a good book.
Holy honeymoon story batman. I would not have put up with that for ten years!! She's a better person than I am.
great links ~ I hope you're feeling better soon!!!
I cried on the lion one the first time I saw it. Okay, and all 4 times after that, too.
And I loved Charrette's story as well.
I'm off to read Mombabe's post. Thanks for the links!
I hope you feel better!! ((((hugs!)))
I hope you feel better real soon.
Pro Prop 8 is a good thing. But can I say...
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ELECTION TO BE OVER!!! :P
I'm new to the whole blogging world. I've just been going from blog to blog reading and enjoying hearing about other mom's lives. But I guess that makes me a lurker, which I don't want to be. Thanks for the links. I sent the prop. 8 one to my mom
I'm sorry you were sick! :(
I love that scene in You've Got Mail! :)
