Top Five Things About Visiting Utah

This was originally titled as the top 10 things, but since I'm staying in a cabin and having to get internet access by um, borrowing it, I gotta make it fast.
So here we go:

5. People still say “flip” instead of the ever more popular (and crass) “freak”
4. Righteous sex stores. (Thank-you Kristina for alerting me to this.)
3. Entire aisle of Wat-Mart dedicated to “food Storage and Home Preparedness”
2. Running on the Alpine Loop – No more breathtaking scenery anywhere!

And the number one:
1. Non-stop accessibility to Kneader’s Bakery desserts.

Hey, I have one more day in town, so alert me if I've missed anything!!

I don't say "flip." I'm afraid I use the crass one. Hope you don't hate me now. :D

They have #3 here too. When I moved to this county, I got a pamphlet about keeping a 72 hour supply JUST IN CASE. Srsly.

I am unaware of this "Kneaders". I will be traveling through Utah in the next few months... is this a MUST stop???

Righteous sex stores? What the flip? I haven't lived in Utah for five years, didn't know there was such a thing.

Sex store? What sex store? I don't need no stinking sex store.

I will be visiting Utah in just 3 weeks. I'll pass on the lingerie, but definately will look up the bakeries!!! And I can't wait to drive on the Alpine Loop, it's so gorgeous!

Dude, I just might have to visit that "sex" store. Awesome.

Aren't you loving the crap weather? I got back in town yesterday after being gone 10 days and I was like "what the......?!"

Wow, I did not know there was any of those righteous sex stores, I might have to make a trip next time we are in Utah :)

Did I ever tell you that Husband and Wife left a comment on my blog, on the original post saying that their sign WAS too scrapbooky and they changed their look and their logo?

I like to think it was all my doing.

Are you going to still be here for Kristina's meet & greet on Saturday?
You should make arrangements to attend.

If you really love us, you will be there.

I've never been to Kneader's but I've heard that it's delicious.

What is a "righteous sex store?"
But maybe I don't really want to know . . .
:~D

I've been to that righteous sex store. The lingerie is too pricey for me. :P

Those may all be great reasons, but THE NUMBER ONE REASON--2 OF MY KIDS LIVE THERE ; )

Running on the Alpine Loop? Wow. Oh how I miss that place. It MUST be driven at least a few times every year when the leaves are both new and then old. It's truly amazing.

And I can't believe number 3. Really? That I would love to see.

Why does a righteous sex store have stripper shoes?

Dave said...

okay, this is cracking me up.

Strip Chocolate Checkers

"Strip Chocolate Checkers is played like regular checkers except that as your game pieces come off, so do your clothes."

I hope you don't regret posting that link now!!

I love that the lingerie is "displayed on mannequins" and that "non-Christian couples" can get in on the fun. All the atheist couples I know will be so relieved they haven't be excluded!

P.S. I linked to that one :)

JDawgs and Smart Cookie. Just about the only two reasons to tolerate Utah County.

The first time I ever went to a Utah Walmart, I freaked out when I came across some LDS material. People around me thought I was nuts. I was in my 20's and it was super odd for me.

Oh! And if you go to a grocery store they have the Aisle of Jello rather than the paltry selection of other states.

Hmm--you forgot to comment on how ridiculously beautiful Utah is. The mountains with snow, and the flowers in the valley. Oh, I love it here!

Um, pretty much you need to be visiting Joe Vera's down on Center Street in Provo. It is some fantastic Mexican food that not many people know about. 250 W Center. Delicious!

Utah does not sound like a place in which I could thrive haha!
