Randomness

***************On Creepy Pervs*****************

Sometimes I run in a running skirt. I just like it better than running shorts. I don't know why. So anyway I was at this drinking fountain in the park about halfway through my run, and I notice this guy walk directly behind me. I hurried to drink and then move over so he could get water. umm, he wasn't thirsty. Turns out he was trying to look. up. my. skirt. There is so much wrong with that, i don't even know where to start. I mean, yeah, there are shorts under there, you perv! AND I was probably old enough to be his, uh, much older sister.

At least he had the good sense to decide he would rather look up Kami's skirt after that.

But once we figured out what was going on, we were laughing so hard, that he decided to leave. Usually I don't like to embarrass people enough that they leave me alone. But seriously? Creeps should be embarrassed.

***************On Weight Watchers*****************

I finally hit my first Weight Watchers milestone! I got my 5% sticker a couple of weeks ago. Which means that I lost more than 5% of my body weight since I started 8 weeks ago. For those of you who forgot your calculators today, that means that in 8 weeks I've lost more than 8 pounds. It's not fast, but at least it IS going the right direction.

or at least it was, Until I tried a killer recipe for Lime Melt-Away cookies.

****************On Crazy Cereal Week***************

Oh yes. Out of all our summer traditions, this is the one that will never die! This is the week.

***************On Temple Attendance*****************
I love being in the temple on Ward temple night. I love being surrounded by people I know and love, who have loved me through a lot of things. It makes me feel - at least a little bit-- what heaven might really be like.

Special note to the temple worker sister who wears white crocs: I LOVE you!

***************On Amazing Husbands*****************

check it out!

a netbook present from The Brain. And I absolutely LOVE IT!
But I love him more.
And THAT is saying something.

Hey, at least you're hot enough that someone wanted to check you out! Is it bad that I'm a tad jealous?

I love the level of randomness in this post--from pervs to temple crocs.

Way to go on the 5% sticker! Wish I could say the same . . .

Crazy cereal week sounds brilliant! I'm definitely gonna have to try that.

I might have been brave enough to say "Are you looking up my SKIRT?!" really loud. And then laughed a lot. But that's because I love to embarrass people who are lame.

That cereal idea is Fantastic!! I'm totally stealing it when my kid(s?) get old enough to care. My mom totally should have done that.

Congrats on the weight loss! That always feels so good to successfully drop a few.

I've never had anyone try and look up my skirt. Is it weird that I'm a wee bit sad now?

CONGRATS on the new computer!

Your crAzY ceReAL week is AWESOME! I would make that law at my house, only then we would starve.

What the skirt?? I hope he felt totally retarded after you left.

There's nothing better than husbands bearing laptops.

I just made the mistake of telling my kids about your crazy cereal week. They're now jumping around and begging me to buy them some crazy cereal. (like they need any more sugar after the jelly beans they just ate for breakfast)

A running skirt? Is that something like those tennis skirt things? I'm having a hard time thinking what this looks like.

Congrats on your 5%!

The Internet has enlightened me to the creepiness of the world. Seriously, there doesn't seem to be an end to the amount of bizarre debauchery out there. My little Lucy just plays happily - never realizing that she isn't going to leave my sight until she's 25.

What a beautiful laptop. Sigh....

Ok, that perv needs some pepper spray and a swift kick in the groin. Yuck.

You covered alot of territory in this post - Love it!
Congrats on your weight loss - I think slow and sure is the way to go. It's dang hard.

LOVE Crazy Cereal week!! We many have to try that one - cool!

Um... super creepy. Sounds like you need to start running with a stun gun!

I love your cereal week! We have a similar thing, but it's for Christmas and birthdays... plain healthy cereal all year long and then you get to pick a cereal for the holidays :)

White crocs? I think that's the coolest thing ever ! :)

What a psycho. I'm glad you embarrassed him away.

You are supposed to embarass the perverts. That is the best way to make them go away. I was taught that if a guy ever flashes you, just point and laugh. Then say something like, My 2 year old has a bigger one than that! They will run!

And congrats on the WW! That is awesome!

A Netbook! Very cool!

Good for you on the weight loss. If you are like me, just like if we are not growing spiritually, then our testimonies are regressing; if I am not trying to lose weight, then I am gaining! (Does that make any sense? Probably not)
:~D

...and awesome gift from your guy! I'm sure he's scored some major points with that!

Do you think they would let me wear my white crocs instead of the old lady slippers?

i love how you take 4 topics, none of them big enough for a post alone, and mash them together into a totally random mind dump.

and i officially apologize for the cookies. I would hate for you to have your 5% sticker revoked :-)

Dave said...

i also love how i never learned to count to 5

@Dave,
25? I told my daughter she would have nothing to do with boys until she's the age of 33. Of course I will probably be dead by than.
