Forever in Black, I Guess.

So yesterday at Walmart I found a white cotton blouse on sale. And since I would rather crawl through fire ants than actually go to the dressing rooms, (which may explain why my clothes don't always fit right now that I think about it), I tried it on over the red shirt I was wearing. But you know, I can never tell what it really looks like, so I asked the random woman who was walking behind me if the shirt made me look like a pharmacist.

Poor lady. She looked like a deer in the headlights.

After a pause, she asked if I WAS a pharmacist. (Obviously fishing for the answer I wanted, which is nice and all, but doesn't really help me.) I should have said yes. But I didn't and she assured me the shirt looked good, and not pharmaceutical at all. So naturally I put it back on the rack. Whatever, lady.

But then I saw a bright pink one, - and I thought it looked like SPRING - and much less pharmacyish than the white shirt, and it occurred to me that most of my clothes are either white or black - so on an impulse- I bought it.

This morning, still dripping from the shower, I layed out my new springy pink shirt to wear, and as my hair dripped on to it, leaving large dark wet spots across the front of it,  I remembered WHY I don't buy colorful cotton shirts.

I must sweat more than normal people.  Or is there some secret I don't know about?  I really think I've tried everything, including prescriptions.

No, really. How do people wear pink shirts?

Now I have to return it. I guess I'm Back In Black.

(dunt- duh duh duh - duh duh duh - doodlodoodloddoo)

Black is my signature color.

You've tried prescriptions and they didn't work? I did that at one point and I loved it. I've thought about doing it again.... (Summer can be so brutal.)

Even CertainDri didn't work? I'm a total pitter and it worked for me. Sad for you.

When I was young I always used Mitchum. Thankfully I don't sweat like I used to.

I rarely go to the dressing rooms either--I don't know why.

I wear all different colors, but I sweat too. I just keep my arms down to my sides at all times. It's very natural looking.

I don't have sweat envy. Sorry. Pink, hot pinks, dark pinks are my faves. With black pants of course. I wrote about shopping today, also. Have a good one.

I have had to return to Mitchum (which I used as a teen) since menopause so kindly struck the pits as well. Wish I had a quick fix for you. But I'm sure you look great in white and black and you can always accessorize....

This reminded me of the time I was trying on that green,African-shirt! We asked random bystanders if it looked to jungle-esque. Good, good tiems :)

ha. sometimes I type tiems instead of items and don't proof-read my comments.

Have you tried layering? As in, wear the pink shirt over another shirt, say a black or white one (since I'm sure you have some of those)or do you sweat thru multiple layers, too?
I also used Mitchum as a teen. Only thing that worked, and I had a REAL prob back then. 7th grade. You know. Back when that was my ONLY problem...

I really hate it when I get something all the way home before I remember why I don't ever buy it!

layer! Or will that make the sweat worse? Just do what I do and bring along a tribe of people to fan you with big palm leaves. While you're at it, have them de-skin your grapes. It's delish that way.

I thought there was some unspoken code that we had to always wear black on the same days, no?

My husband is a sweater too. (hahah, he's a sweater..) anyway, he found in walmart a deodorant that is clinical strength and it works wonders. I have no idea if there is a woman brand of it, so it may smell manish, but it works!
