Life Is Good

Yesterday Lizzie came home from school in an extraordinarily good mood.  I mean, she's usually cheerful, but it had been a particularly great day, AND she is almost done with her research paper.  THEN she got online and found out that she was getting a refund from a college app.   THEN the exact guy that she wanted to go with to the prom called her out of the blue and asked her.

So she kind of floated around for a few minutes, and walked over to get a drink of water, and I heard her yell from the kitchen...

"AND the dishes in the dishwasher are CLEAN.  Could this day get any better!!??"

I love that girl.

That is a good life! How fun. I wish some college apps would send me a refund.... 12 yrs later.

That is so great! I'm wondering if I've ever had a day like that. I'm going to have to think about it.

eating ice cream out of the container with a table spoon would make it a little better :-)

If I catch you anywhere near an ice cream container with one of my table spoons, it will likely be the LAST day of your life.

At least it was a good one.

Sounds like an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT DAY.

So glad.

Good day, I'm struck by the fact that we as parents are so emotionally tied into our kids. Being the father of a thirteen year old daughter I live and die with her moods. Does it work the other way around?
