At Least They Bring Them to Me

We always look forward to my niece and nephews coming over. My kids like to play with their cousins, and frankly, we miss having kids around that do cute things to laugh about. Oh, we still laugh about our teenagers, but its less about the cute and more about the clueless...

Anyway,
Sometimes when they come over and we're looking for colored pencils, they take a special joy in finding "permidit" markers. Why kids are a magnet for permidit markers, I have no idea, but they are.

At least they hunt them down and bring them to me. I'd hate to find their little brother like this:

I think I'd better find a higher place to keep the permidit markers.

Please tell me you found that picture and that that didn't actually happen while you were watching kids.

Kids are quick and can find trouble easily.

Good luck!

Yes, I found it, and that's what made me think I should re-evaluate the place I keep the permidit markers. I thought it was such a funny picture, though.

That is too funny. Maybe I better get rid of those markers ; )

I'm glad you have family near by--it is always such a treat when they come to visit.

Ohhh.... I love that picture! I have one almost exactly like that but it's Brynners getting into my food coloring.

~lol~ I one traced all the veins in my brother's bald head with a ball point pen. Freaked my mum out no end until she realized what had happened.

My table bears all the tales of my permanent marker mishaps.

I need to invest in many, many tablecloths.

that's right-don't yell at the kids-don't get mad--just get out the camera! (I tell that to my kids all the time-I wish I had done that more when they were all little!) My little grandson managed to get into my bathroom, get out the toothpaste and smear it all over the cabinets down the hall-all in the space of about 2 minutes!!!

Life's a lot cooler when we have the benefit of learning from other people's mistakes before we make them!

My brother once thought it would be funny to draw a fu-manchu mustache on me in my sleep. And we woke up late for Church. It's a safe bet the comedian didn't do that again!

My markers are on top of the fridge. Behind a bowl. Behind a box. Enough said.

Livie loves permadit markers too.

I'm sure my daughter and your brother appreciate your keeping them out of the kids reach.......

We did not own permadit markers while my kids were little.
I knew they'd get in trouble if we had any.

I have lots of art around my house...Sharpie pen art...on walls, and cupboards. I even found one on the carpet once, a cute little doggie.

:) oh my kids and markers, markers and kids, just don't go well together do they!

My sweet B was in preschool, remember she dropped out, but one day they were tigers, and the teacher drew a cute nose and whiskers on them. B wore her tiger face proud. (I didn't get pictures bad mommy)

But then the next day she decided that all her little siblings needed tiger faces too, so she did Em's and TimTim's. We got a lot of "oh how cute." "oh my look at their faces." comments as we went to pickc up the big brother from school. Again, I didn't take a picture...should of what was I thinking!

I've been very lucky...no permidit marker mishaps in my past! But who knows what the future may bring...jeepers, I'm sure I'll get grandkids SOME day!

I used to do a lot of stencilling to decorate rooms. My preschool aged son found the stencil, brush, and acrylic paints I'd foolishly left out, and went to town on his bedroom wall. He wanted to be like his mom, AAAGGGHHH! :0

Ahh if there were only time to recount the fun with Gavin.... Today he learned where the breaker for the house is---in the laundry room. I thought to myself what is that snapping sound,(as I was moving in the direction of the sound) and then when the microwave beeped--like the power had gone out-- it all connected in my head.
