Do I Live in an Amazing Place, or What?

Romantic weekend with my husband? Sign me up! The Brain and I like to go somewhere together every year or so if we can. It's always amazing, and this year was no exception! We visited some of the little mountain towns of Colorado. It was lots of driving. And we did quite a bit of hiking and exploring. But we actually like driving, hiking, and exploring, so it worked out great.

Sorta makes me wish I actually had photography skills.

(But not enough to, you know, do anything about it!)

We drove by this motel, and I actually recognized it somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind from at least 30 years ago. It still cracks me up and made me want to stay there.... um, for about 30 seconds. (Yeah, I'm spoiled by Holiday Inn Express.)

Hey Nancyface! I'm thinking about making this picture my new avatar!

Yes, I really took these.

I tend to get awfully snooty about living in the biggest and best state, but I'll admit it. You DO live in a beautiful place!

Gorgeous landscape photos! You are so lucky you live close to such natural beauty. Although I like our neck of the woods in Nor Cal, too. My husband and I also love just going for a drive, hiking and just enjoying nature. Is that you with the pink pig? You are very pretty. And your gas station photo is funny!

You know. Sometimes my arms and legs actually DO feel leaded. I should get me some of those unleaded ones.

Beautiful photos - it's as if you know what you're doing with that photography thing.

Don't you just love small towns? Not that I want to relocate, but there's something quaint about them.....not to mention different, too.

Great pics.

Ok, so years ago I stayed at the Rabbit Ears Motel. I can't believe it still is around.
